Dual MomentsI call these images "dual moments" because they combine two moments in time depicted on two frames of 2D film. These dual moment stereo images can be perceived with the anaglyph method as well as other stereo projection methods. Dual moments reveal depth in two ways: from lateral camera motion and from subject motion. The pictures I made for this site use both kinds of motion and sometimes a combination. From the looks of it, an unlimited amount of source material for dual moment constructions can be decoded from a century of film. David Neufer |
